Often, when people start to explore the connections between their circumstances and their thoughts...and how both relate to their life outcomes, they tend to jump to shame-based conclusions or, conversely, sometimes misinterpret the aims of self-coaching as being rooted in victim-blaming. Since this is never the premise of what I teach, this episode is focused on what I’d tell my younger, 35-year-old self...with the hope, it can help you hold space for what you may be experiencing as you venture into the work of bullshifting.

As I’m recording this episode, the entire U.S. is in a period of major transition--a lifequake. Some might attribute it to our political system...will there be a peaceful transition from one president to the next? Others might attribute it to the COVID pandemic...will we be able to liberate ourselves from quarantine once the vaccines are deployed? But change can show up for us on smaller scales in our daily lives too. And if we don’t have a helpful context for understanding the frequency and types of change in our lives, it can all feel a bit much.
