15: The Top 7 Regrets of Mid-Career Professionals
I’ve been on a mission to explore the awkward but powerful question of, “What would you do if you could magically rewind your career?” I surveyed and interviewed scores of mid-career professionals between the ages of 35 and 55, and I asked each of them what they regretted most about their careers to date.
What did I learn? Disappointment doesn’t discriminate. No matter the industry, role, or relative success, a few key themes emerged that I’m happy to share with you today. If you’re like me, when you hit 40, you may have had an awakening...like you’re suddenly in a new “club”--it’s not a “Gives Zero Fucks” club...but, rather, a “Gives More Considered and Aligned Fucks” club. A club that helps you to be more courageous and bold...that fuels your chutzpah to stop wasting your time and start living a more satisfying life on your terms.
In this episode, I’ll uncover the top 7, real-life regrets of midlife professionals just like you so you have the opportunity to learn from their mistakes before making your own! I’ll uncover 7 all-to-relatable regrets and give you the tools you need to navage those potential landmines within your own career.

In this episode, Meghan discusses the questions we tend to ask ourselves as we approach the new calendar year. She explains that these are the questions for which purpose is the answer. Who we are today is not the same as who we were yesterday and who we’ll be tomorrow. Yet, paradoxically, we are exactly the same person we were yesterday and will be tomorrow. This is one of a few key paradoxes of purpose that Meghan explores in this episode. Sit back, enjoy the holiday feels, and join Meghan as she gives us a preview of where we’re going with Bullshift in 2022!
